WORLDVIEW LIVE LINE-UP
Oliver had a wish-list of Oxford musicians with the necessary technique and finesse to perform his elaborate works live. However, they were all busy with other commitments, so instead his line-up includes:
Ben P, or "Ben Pritchett" to his friends, plays the electric guitar in Wordview, and has an uncanny ability to interpret exactly what Oliver desires, which must be very distressing for him. He can effortlessly emulate his riffs and changes, while bringing the additional qualities of actual competence and musicianship. Ben went to University at Oxford University in Oxford where he learned how to read and write, and he and Oliver met through an online dating agency, before they realised they were both musicians. Or that neither of them was gay! Ben has his own band, The Objections; click here to sample their melodic female vocals and edgy guitar work.
The third member of Worldview's live line-up is now usually an exciting and random "special guest" (think "Have I Got News For You" post-Angus Deayton) who operates the laptop PC and other hi-tech equipment producing the loops and sequenced backing, and generally adds an air of moody cool to proceedings. This individual is generally one of the many movers'n'shakers in Oliver's bulging filofax; anyone infact who he can bully or cajole into lending their services F.O.C. Previous guests have included DJ/producer Paul Oakenfold, 80's synthpop guru Howard Jones, Labour Party founder Kier Hardie, and Angus Deayton. The role was previously taken by electro music aficionado and general techie bloke Polymer, who sadly wilted under the pressure of intense fame and media scrutiny, and left to spend more time with his other band, The Rolling Stones.
Worldview will naturally consider all bookings, particularly international stadium gigs, village fetes and children's parties. Why not get in touch via the Links/Contact page?
